Those Who Excel (TWE – pronounced Twee!) has been an important part of the E.T.A. for many years. All the work and events are done by volunteers of the organization in order to support our profession. The program is organized and supported entirely by the members of the Elgin Teachers Association. This program recognizes students from all levels in our district. At the elementary level, each 6th grade teacher is invited to choose 1 student. Each middle school recognizes 3 eighth grade students. At the High School level, we awarded $1000 scholarships to seniors who are intending to pursue a career in public education.

​Each year 4 Heritage 6th graders are recognized for their excellence and growth.

We are asking you to bring your spare change to give as a donation to help fund this worthwhile event for our future 6th grade recipients at the Family Movie Night.
